“The landscape belongs to the person who looks at it.” Ralph Waldo Emerson Have you ever heard the expressions, "the glass is half empty"? Or is it, "the glass is half full"? It actually depends on who you have the conversation with. Some people are always looking at their lives as "half empty", yet others, no matter what the course, look at their lives as "half full". Why is this? There is some research that shows that thought processes such as these are imprinted in a person's brain in childhood. Others of us have those impressions imprinted and then are focused on taking the lesson and the blessings in life's challenges and just moving forward. Can you change your "half empty" thought to a "half full" thought? Yes, of course you can. It's a choice. (Melissa uses these quotes and excerpts to assist her audience in understanding how a small change can be made with your thoughts to move through difficult challenges.)
